Reconciliation makes you feel so much lighter, like you lost 50 pounds.

Dear Family:

The Lord has been putting on my mind lately the need for Reconciliation.

I’ve hesitated to share it with you.  But this Sunday at Mass, the Lord hit me over the head with a 2×4 in St. Paul’s letter to the Ephesians.  It’s really short, so I’m going to put the whole thing in here and then follow it with a little sharing.

“Brothers and sisters.  Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with which you were sealed for the day of redemption.  All bitterness, fury, anger, shouting, and reviling must be removed from you, along with all malice.  And be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another as God has forgiven you in Christ.

So be imitators of God, as beloved children, and live in love, as Christ loved us and handed himself over for us as a sacrificial offering to God for a fragrant aroma.”

So here’s the deal, my precious family, and we are brothers and sisters in Christ..  There is a great need for reconciliation NOW.  The only thing that holds us together is each other, family.  And we must be united or reunited now.

I want to share a story that took place about the same time as my brother-in-law was fighting for his life in the Battle of the Bulge.

Penny’s uncle was very well to do here in the US.  As a matter of fact, Penny’s father worked for him.  At all the family dinners, this man reigned as king, and everyone put up with it because he was a big shot.   He had two problems.  One, he drank a lot at these affairs.  Two, he loved Hitler.  At this one gathering, he began spouting about how he couldn’t wait until Hitler won the war and took over America.  Now this was a time when Penny’s brother, Chris, was in a hospital after having had his face blown off by a landmine in the Battle of the Bulge.  His situation was critical.  My father-in-law, Penny’s dad, got up and struck his brother-in-law, the big mouth, until he was unconscious. The families didn’t speak for 25 years.

Now, that’s not the end of the story, as Paul Harvey would say.  This brother, the big mouth, was Penny’s mom’s favorite brother.  She loved him dearly.  But as a faithful wife, she did not speak to him for 25 years.  It wasn’t until Penny’s dad was dying of cancer that the two families reunited.  But it was tense at first.  My little boy, 7 years old, said to him, “Uncle…you’re like a clown.”  The brother got tremendously angry.  But Penny came to the rescue. She said to our son, “Why did you say uncle …. was like a clown.”  “Because he laughs and is so happy.”  Out of the mouths of babes….  All was well.  Reconciliation was accomplished through a little boy.  Why did it have to wait 25 years?

And so my family comes my sharing with you.  Look up at the top of the page.  If there’s anything left that St. Paul spoke of at the top of this letter, in any part of your family, from the time you were little people until now, reconcile today.  We must be a strong community.  We are only as strong as our weakest link.  You know who you have to reach out to and reconcile.  Mothers and fathers, husbands and wives, brothers and sisters, cousins, aunts and uncles, in-laws and outlaws, school friends.  Do it now.  The enemy has been trying to destroy family for decades, probably more like centuries.  The attacks have become more brutal in the last century and this.  Without family, you have no country.  You have no church.

I love you all, friends whom I have met, and friends who I will meet someday here on earth or in Heaven. I only want the best for you.  Reconciliation makes you feel so much lighter, like you lost 50 pounds.  I love you all.  God bless you.

Remember THE DREAM

A woman had diedjesus and children and was on her way to the Gates of Heaven and while on her way she saw a beautiful, extremely large playground with Jesus and  children running and playing and watching the road to the Gates.

As she got closer to the gates a little boy ran up to her and said, “Are you my mommy?”

She drew back and said. “No!” then fell to her knees and wept and asked Jesus to forgive her for what she had done.

She then got up and proceeded towards the Gates, and just before she got there a little girl came up to her and said, “Are you my mommy?”  Again she stopped but this time leaned over and said. “Yes I am; come here, I want to ask you to forgive me and I do love you.”

Then the mother asked the little girl to explain why Jesus was in the area with the children outside the Gates of Heaven.  The little girl explained that the children of abortions would not enter the Gates of Heaven, since they all believed they should not enter someone’s house without their mother’s permission.

And also, Jesus had built this large area near the Gates for all these children to play and be with Him and watch for their mothers. He told them they would know without a doubt who their mother’s were when they come down the road to the Gates and he instructed the children to ask the mothers if they were their mother. This would allow the mothers to acknowledge their children and prove their love for their children.

motherandchildrenNow I understand, and then the mother turned around and saw the little boy sitting by the road where she had met him and said. ” Come here Johnny, I knew you were my son and I love you.”

The little boy jumped up and the three of them hugged each other for quite a while.

Finally, the mother grabbed both of them by the hand and said, “Come on children, this family is going to Heaven!”

Comment: This really touched me and I wanted to share with you all. Please share this with your friends and family.

Also say a prayer that all families will be healed like this one was in this dream.

Saint Joseph and Saint Anne might be good to ask for intercession for healing of families and of course Mother Mary.
